Created: April 11, 2008You can request read receipts for private messages by clicking on "Request read receipt" in the "Advanced Settings" menu when composing a private message. You'll only receive one if the recipient agrees to send you one though.

Why Can't I Send Private Messages to Certain Users?
There are various reasons why you can't send private messages to certain users. The recipient might have added you to their blocklist, they might have been banned from the website, or they have disabled private messages altogether in their profile. Consider contacting the user in another way if you find that you can't send private messages to them.
